After suffering a 2-nil defeat to premier league Champions Man City, Chelsea performed well to get a well-deserving victory over Wolverhampton in their second EPL fixture on Sunday 25th August 2024.
Senegalese professional, Nicolas Jackson, got an early goal in the 2nd minute of the game. Still, Wolves leveled the scoreline in the 27th minute after Rayan Aït-Nouri provided an assist that saw Matheus Cunha score the equalizer. After being booked on a yellow in the 44th minute, Cole Palmer got the Blues back on track again with a 2-1 lead but the Wolves were just too resilient as they leveled again, Larsen J.S scored in the 46th minute to keep the scoreline at 2-2 halftime

In the second half, Noni Madueke got a hat-trick in the 49th, 58th, and 63rd minutes of the game respectively, after receiving assists from Cole Palmer in all the goals.
Born in Barnet England, Chukwunonso Tristan “Noni” Madueke has had a good football career as he played for the English U16, U17, U18, and U21 national teams respectively. He also began his youth career for Crystal Palace’s youth academy but later joined Tottenham Hotspur for further career growth. Outside England in 2018, at the age of 16, he joined PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands and featured in the club’s first team in 2019. His stay in the club lasted till 2023. Madueke became a well-developed footballer and was known for his ability to trouble his opponent’s defense. This tremendous growth saw him attracted to Chelsea and in 2023, he joined the Blues and he has since then become a key player for Chelsea.
Cole Palmer’s Goal and Assists
Palmer was an engine room for Chelsea yesterday in the 6-2 victory over the Wolves as he displayed an excellent performance to see the Blues crush their opponent. He scored a brilliant goal in the 45th minute of the game after Nicolas Jackson got a pass through to him that saw him play the ball over the goalkeeper to get the second goal of the game. His 3 assists saw Madueke get a hat-trick in the game.
Cole Jermaine Palmer who started his youth football career in Manchester City, was integrated into City’s senior team by Pep Guardiola who was very impressed with his skills in the youth team. After some time in the senior team, Palmer did not have enough play time which later saw him leave for the Blues in August 2023.

The Portuguese international joined Chelsea for a deal of 46.3 million Euros, this transfer window got an assist from another new star Neto to register his name on the score sheet for the Blues.
