The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) raised its interest rate to 27.25% to combat inflation, reflecting the country’s economic struggles. The Federal Government declares October 1st a Public Holiday

To commemorate the 64th independence day anniversary, The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement by Dr Magdalene Ajani, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, on Saturday.
