A Tale Of Two Victims? Does It Really End With Us

What began as a personal and professional fallout between two celebrated actors, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, has snowballed into a multi-layered legal spectacle, leaving audiences unsure of whom to believe. With accusations flying from all sides and new players entering the fray, it seems this legal battle is far from over especially with the stars on this dance floor

Baldoni vs. Lively… and Reynolds?

In a dramatic twist, Justin Baldoni recently filed yet another lawsuit, this time not just against Blake Lively but also her husband, Ryan Reynolds. The controversy has even roped in Disney, as Baldoni’s legal team claims that a cameo in the recent blockbuster “Deadpool vs. Wolverine” was a direct jab at him.

The cameo in question involves Reynolds’ character, Nicepool, delivering lines that Baldoni alleges were weaponized in Blake’s previous accusations against him. According to Baldoni, quotes like “Where in God’s name is the intimacy coordinator?!” and a compliment to Ladypool (played by Lively) for “snapping back” post-pregnancy were thinly veiled references to his alleged behavior on the set of It Ends With Us.

Blake Lively, who appeared as Ladypool in the film, accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and fat-shaming her postpartum body during the production of It Ends With Us and also her refusal to meet with the intimacy coordinator before filiming the same movie. The movie, ironically centered on themes of domestic violence, was publicly championed by Baldoni as a feminist project. In Deadpool vs. Wolverine, Nicepool’s quip about his own misogyny, “It’s okay, I identify as a feminist” — feels to Baldoni like an intentional dig, given the timing of the film’s release and the ongoing legal battles.

Ryan Reynolds, who starred in, produced, and co-wrote Deadpool vs. Wolverine, has yet to comment on whether Nicepool’s dialogue was inspired by Baldoni. Fans, however, had speculated about the connection long before the lawsuits gained momentum. The resemblance, both in characterization and context, has fueled the fire of public curiosity and made the lawsuit even messier.

With three lawsuits now in play and allegations of mockery, harassment, and creative sabotage swirling, the courtroom drama shows no signs of slowing down. The question on everyone’s mind remains: Was Nicepool’s cameo a sly parody aimed at Baldoni, long before Blake Lively’s accusations became public?

As fans, critics, and legal teams pick apart every detail, one thing is certain, this saga is a stark reminder of how quickly professional disputes can spiral into public spectacles. Whether this lawsuit game of tag will end in clarity or confusion is anyone’s guess.

What do you think? Was Nicepool a calculated move to mock Baldoni, or is it all just pure coincidence? Let us know in the comments!
