More Pain For Man City as Liverpool Brightens EPL Trophy Chase

Manchester City continued their poor form after failing to have any wins in their last 7 games. They lost 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday 30th October. After which they suffered another 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth, being humiliated by Sporting of Portugal by 4-1 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday November 5th, outclassed by Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club in an away EPL fixture on November 9th, punished again by Tottenham in another EPL fixture on Saturday November 23rd (4 goals to nothing), threw away a 3 goals lead against Feyenoord on Tuesday 26th November 2024, that ended in a draw, and humbled by Liverpool on Sunday, the Citizens have lost 6 in their last 7, raising questionable reactions in the world of football.

Cody Gakpo, after receiving an assist from his teammate “ Salah”, put the Reds in front in the 12th minute of the game. Gakpo’s goal was all they needed to keep the scoreline in his team’s favor. More pressure silenced City and there were too-weak response to register any goal at halftime.

A Suggestion for Pep!

As a way of curbing the situation, Guardiola must refrain from telling the world how his entire team will be less productive or ineffective without the presence of some tagged “key and important.” He can use what he has available to get the job done. This could be by continuous support, encouragement, and temporary conversion of playing positions just to curtail the crises.
His current stand will factually impact the rest of the team’s inferiority complexes and show that the team is divided based on ongoing situations.

Although Pep Guardiola blamed the recent backwardness on the long absence of some key and experienced players from the squad due to injury, many still feel there is lots more he can do with the list of fit and available players to achieve better results.

Liverpool’s Headway

As the team continues to show much hard work towards achieving another English Premier League title, their current form has been incredible. Gaining control of the League by sitting 1st on the table with 34 points from 13 matches, the current nine-point lead must be maintained if they will ever want to attain the premium price.
Can they do this? Can they hold on to the end?
Well, only hard work, teamwork, and consistency will tell!
