Uptober: How To Improve Your Productivity For The Rest Of The Year.

We have approximately 85 days left in the year 2024. Don’t panic, don’t get overwhelmed yet. You might be looking at your goals and it already feels like time has run out, but slow down with those thoughts, you still have enough time to cover ground and the 31st of December is not a countdown to closing the curtains on your goals either. So here are the quick five steps to making the less than 90 days last and making an impact:

-Look At Your Goals
Look at it repeatedly until it sticks to your mind like glue. We often need a reason to keep going especially with our goals, while you look through your goals again, find a reason why you wanted to do it in the first place, make it clear, write it down, and let it inspire you for the rest of the year and even after.

-Track Your Daily Goals
Create a daily habit of breaking your goals into smaller, achievable ones. Make them desirable for yourself to achieve and reach for. Put in consistent effort. Compounding works for money and it works much more for your goals.

-Change Your Mindsets and Habits
Certain mindsets and habits stop us from pushing harder to reach our goals, from reading people’s perspectives of how goals get tiring or your mind telling you to stop trying. You have to remember that you are reaching out to be a better version of yourself for you and nobody else. A quote says; The cost of procrastination is the future you dream to have.

-Practice Proactive and Productive Procrastination
To be proactive means acting in advance to deal with an expected change or difficulty. We know that regardless the habit of procrastinating will pop up in the later days and you must find ways to curb it, one way to do that is productive procrastination, which means you intertwine your goals to work together by making the hard goals come before the goals you love to do. Learn to mix your goals with the things you are passionate about.

-Find Accountability
Your goals and their achievements depend largely on how accountable you are willing to be to other people. Get your siblings, friends, or mentors to follow you up with your daily, weekly, or monthly goals. It might feel awkward at first but let it, you will find out how much it helps you stay intentional in months to come.

Lastly, believe in yourself and how powerful you are when you put your dreams in focus. Take a bet on yourself, just as you would with your favorite football team, and aim for the win.
